“I'm a Tech Leader at SAP, and I'm also leading the AI community in our labs, advocating AI whenever we can,” explained Daniel Nemeth, Expert Tech Lead at SAP Labs Israel. “The AI community is a group of people enthusiastic about AI. We currently have 55 participants, and we meet once a month.”
Nemeth spoke to CTech at AI 2025, where he explained how the AI community is shaping conversations around the technology. “We have three parts of each session,” he said. “The first part is exploring the latest news about AI. Then we evaluate AI tools that could be integrated into our daily work. And then we showcase AI projects or POCs that are being done in the development groups.”
According to Nemeth, SAP was having a joint hackathon with a Vibe coding platform for non-developers, product managers, and UX designers. He says they use these events to get broader feedback on said tools.
“Last April, a few of the AI community members flew to Silicon Valley, to the Palo Alto offices of SAP,” he added. “We had a week filled with AI, we met academic researchers, and AI startups from the valley.”
As part of the AI community’s aim to advocate for AI, last month, it had an event for architects and developers where the goal was to build an agentic workstation for each member who came to the event. “If a product manager could shorten the way to demonstrate to the customer how the product will look, or how it will react, and he can get immediate feedback over the software itself through a vibe coding platform, or something similar, then we can have closure, right? In my mind, this is the future.”
